Named after the iconic character from Dr. Jose Rizal’s “Noli Me Tangere,” these awards celebrate visionary filmmakers who utilize their art to inspire and provoke change. The Crisostomo Ibarra Awards, with its magnificent trophy named after the titular character, symbolize the fusion of artistic excellence and social impact.
Aligned with the vision of the Fil-Am Scholarship Foundation and Outreach Services, Inc. (FASFOS), the Crisostomo Ibarra Awards aim to recognize filmmakers who embody FASFOS’s commitment to educational empowerment and community development. By acknowledging their exceptional contributions, the Crisostomo Ibarra Awards inspire’s storytellers to create narrative that ignite conversations, challenge conventions, and shape a better future.
